Wild Card Series #23-Pinwheel, Quotes, and Thinking Cards

Hi Everyone,
In order to get the series done by the end of the year I decided that I would try 3 cards in one video. I think it worked out really well....

Click HERE to see past videos in the WCS!

I've had a lot of questions on how to use the Original Cricut with the Wild Card cartridge. After the holidays I will borrow my mom's baby bug and make a video on how to use WC with it.

Thanks for watching!

Wild Card Series #21-Tweety and Circle Card

Hi everyone,
Here is episode #21 in the Wild Card Series. I love that all of you are enjoying the series, thank you all for the sweet comments.

I hope the volume is OK today. Yesterday's video was very low...The video camera is right above my head, maybe 6 inches away and it's not like I don't have a big mouth. I cannot figure out why it's so low. Today's video I turned up the volume when I was editing so I hope this helps.

If I figured it out right we have about 12 videos left in the series.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Christmas Gift Packaging

This week's Gypsy Spot challenge is Christmas gift packaging.

I used Cricut cartridge "Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More" and the "Christmas" solutions cartridge to make the gift box. I created the window on the gift box using the the tree from the "Christmas" cartridge and added acetate that I ran through my Big Shot with the Cuttlebug embossing folder "Snow Dots". I also added a tag from the "Very Merry Tags" solution cartridge and dressed it up a little with some bling.

Supplies: Cricut Gypsy, Cricut Expression, Cricut cartridges-Tags, Bags, Boxes, and more, Christmas and Very Merry Tags; Pattern Paper-K&Co.; Ribbon-Paper Trey Ink, Acetate-Transparency sheets; Bling
Have a great Monday,

Money Card Holder

Hey Everyone,
My oldest niece and nephews want cash this year for Christmas. They are growing up too fast. It was only 14 years ago that my niece was a flower girl at my wedding and now she's learning how to drive.
Today's Gypsy Spot challenge was to create something with a snowman and/or snowflake. Well since I'm giving cash this year, I thought this challenge was a perfect time to make money card holders.

I love using UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) on my projects and not too long ago I found a great video tutorial at apieceofcraftdotcom on how to add glitter to UTEE. Her technique was on Prima flowers, but you can certainly do this on anything you cut out from your Cricut.

I'm sure you all need a video fix, so here you go.....

Thanks for watching and I hope to be back later this week with a Wild Card Series video.

Christmas with the Cricut-Gift Item

I know I've said this already, but this week just flew by.
I want to thank Joy, Melanie and Tammy for inviting me to be a part of Christmas with the Cricut. I had a lot a fun and really enjoyed making these Christmas projects and reading all of your comments. Thanks to all of you for stopping by and following along this week. It's been a joy.

I also want to send big hugs, to my sweet dear friend Teri. I've always admired your work and it was an honor to share the same week of CWTC with you. You are a true friend!
Now for today's final project: Today is Crafty Gift day. If you remember back a few days ago when I posted my gift packaging project, well I made this to go inside my package.

My gift item is a glass ornament that I etched with the Armor etching cream. I cut a snowflake on Cricut vinyl from Winter Woodland, and etched my ornament. I then added a little gem to the center to give it a little something extra. I also cut a tag from Storybook and stamped a little holiday sentiment. The ornament fits nicely into my gift box.

For somemore inspiration on gift items head on over to Teri's blog and check out her project for today. And of course you need to go to CWTC to comment and be entered to win one of the many generous giveaways.

Thanks again and I'm so glad you stopped by.

Christmas with the Cricut-Fancy Card

Well it's Fancy Card Friday over at Christmas with the Cricut.

Today's card features UTEE (Ultra Thick Emobssing Enamel). I'm a little addicted to it. I just love that glass look that is gives.

Here is the info on today's card.
The card measures 3 x6. I wanted to do something a little different since I always make standard size cards. This was a nice change. The bottom pattern paper layer measures 2 3/4 x 5 3/4. The next layer is 2 1/5 x 5 1/2 followed by a smaller layer of pattern paper measuring at 2 1/4 x 5 1/4. I cut my Sleigh from Winter Woodland and then used UTEE to add the nice glass look to the sligh and the holy. I finished off my card with some green satin ribbon from Paper Trey Ink.
Head on over to Teri's blog to check her amazing card. She totally ROCKED this card.

Christmas with the Cricut-Layout

I can't believe it's Thursday already! Wow this week has gone by fast for my guest design spot over at Christmas with the Cricut.
Today we're doing a layout. This is great, I have a head start on my layout for this coming Christmas. OK OK...I must confess, I'm many many many years behind on Christmas layouts.

I'm an 8in x 8in scrapbooker:0) I find myself overwhelmed with 12x12 pages and can never decide what to addd to my pages. So I started scraping 8x8 and found that is really my perfect scrap page size.

Today's project features the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge. I cut the snowman at 4 in.'s and "Frosty" at 2in.'s. Head on over to Teri's blog to check out her take on today's layout!

Supplies: Winter Woodland Cricut Cartridge, Pattern Paper by Basic Grey (Figgy Pudding); Cardstock: White, Scarlet Jewel, and Ocean Tide by Paper Trey Ink; Ribbon: Ocean Tide by Paper Trey Ink. Fiskars punch.

Thanks for stopping by and check back tomorrow for my fancy card project.

My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love the whole season! Spending time with the family, decorating shopping, wrapping presents, eating, eating some more, baking cookies, eating the cookies. Did I mention shopping?

We were asked to use two Cricut cartridges for our projects this week. Winter Woodland and Storybook. I love both of these cartridges!

Gypsy Spot Challenge

This week kicks off the Gypsy Spot site and I'm so excited to be a designer.

The challenge this week was to create something using Gypsy Wanderings, Gyspy Fonts or both. So I went with Wanderings. I love this cute little butterfly. I used black cardstock for the base of the card and the pattern paper is by Basic Grey (ambrosia). This pattern paper is totally not my norm but I love how it came out. The butterfly was cut at 2 in. and Thanks is cut at 1.25 in. I used the blackout feature on both cuts. The black stitched ribbon is from a Making Memories ribbon set and I pulled out my nestabilities labels (set 3) and ran the black cardstock and pattern paper through my Big Shot.
Hope you enjoy and don't forget to check out the other designers over at the Gypsy Spot.

Wild Card Series #19 Ornament Card

Happy Tuesday,
Well I was able to get you another Wild Card Video up and running. We're working on the Ornament card that is on page 74 of the Cricut Wild Card manual. This is really a cute Christmas card! I was thinking after I tied on the linen thread that if you perforated the side of the card, the person receiving it could hang the ornament on their tree. Wouldn't that be cute?

Enjoy today's video.

Don't forget next week is my fun filled week with Christmas with the Cricut.

Happy Thursday everyone,
I decided around 10 last night that I had to make a video. I could not go a week without making at least one video. So I decided I needed to use some stuff that I haven't used in a long time. I bought "A Child's Year" Cricut cartridge back in August and I've only used it once.
Enjoy today's video:

Pattern Paper: Daisy Bucket
Dark Brown Satin Ribbon: Paper Trey Ink
Whisper White Cardstock: Stampin' Up!
White Textured Cardstock: Bazzill
Bitter Chocolate Cardstock: Bazzill
Metal Embellishment: All My Memories

Our trip to the pumpkin patch

The weatherman said it would rain all weekend. Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day, so we headed to the pumpkin patch. What a fun time, muddy but fun. We tried to do the corn maze, but just couldn't do it because of the mud. At least we tried. They have this thing called a pumpkin sling. It's so fun, you toss a tiny pumpkin into this huge sling shot and pull it back as far as you can. You have to try and aim for a barrel or a metal cow. Funny!
Here are a few pictures of my guys. Notice I'm never in the pic's I'm always taking them.

Have a great week.

Wild Card Series #18 House Card

Happy Wednesday!
Here is a quick quick quick video for the Wild Card Series. We are working on #18 today, the house card. I've made this card a while back and really love it. Here is a link to the one a made a few months back:
We are in the middle of having our bathroom re-done which is right next door to my craft room so in between shopping for faucets, vanities, mirrors and tile I have not really had a chance to do much.
Oh My Goodness can you believe my design spot is coming up in just about 2 weeks for Christmas with the Cricut. I have a few of my projects already done and I can't wait to show them to you. Very Exciting.
Here's today's video (sorry no picture today, like I said in the middle of construction and I had to film this at 10 o'clock last night)

This card is soooooo cute. I put this one off because I had no idea what I was going to do with it. It will make such a cute card for my nephews for Halloween.

Now Here is your video for today's installment of the Wild Card Series:

and HERE is a link to the other videos in the WCS videos.
What? My blog looks different? Yep I was playing and decided I needed something with a little more color. Don't worry if you have my old grab button, it's still here, but feel free to "grab" my new one if you like.
Have a great weekend.
