Video Series

Hi Everyone,
First let me say again....Thank you for all the emails, comments and messages. You are all so sweet and I'm glad you enjoyed the Wild Card Series. Now for what is to come....

I've been working on the Wild Card Series since August and the only reason I was able to get it done before the end of the year was I am on vacation from work. I really don't think I can do an entire cartridge again (not even if Provo comes out with a Wild Card 2 LOL). However I will continue the Cartridge Series and here is how it will work....

I will be featuring a cartridge every two weeks. There will be 4-5 video per cartridge in that two week time period.
Episode # 1 will be an intro to the cartridge. I will go over the basics of the cartridge and the function keys.
Episode #2 I will focus on a project with one of the function keys. An example of this would be the card function on the Zooballo cartridge. The video will show you the basics of the function key and a project (in more detail than the Wild Card Series).
Episode #3 Will be a project from start to finish. It could be a card, home decor item, or any type of project.
Episode #4 Will be a scrapbook page. Remember I'm an 8x8 scrapper, but you can always make it your own.
Episode # 5 Will be used when needed.

You can also check my site throughout the two weeks for other projects completed with the featured cartridge. They will not be in video.

I am a mom, wife, and work full time, so right now I don't want to make promises that I can't keep on days of the week that videos will be uploaded.

The Cartridge line up will be announced tomorrow.

Happy New Year!

Wild Card Series #23-Pinwheel, Quotes, and Thinking Cards

Hi Everyone,
In order to get the series done by the end of the year I decided that I would try 3 cards in one video. I think it worked out really well....
Enjoy!

Click HERE to see past videos in the WCS!

I've had a lot of questions on how to use the Original Cricut with the Wild Card cartridge. After the holidays I will borrow my mom's baby bug and make a video on how to use WC with it.

Thanks for watching!

Wild Card Series #21-Tweety and Circle Card

Hi everyone,
Here is episode #21 in the Wild Card Series. I love that all of you are enjoying the series, thank you all for the sweet comments.

I hope the volume is OK today. Yesterday's video was very low...The video camera is right above my head, maybe 6 inches away and it's not like I don't have a big mouth. I cannot figure out why it's so low. Today's video I turned up the volume when I was editing so I hope this helps.

If I figured it out right we have about 12 videos left in the series.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Holiday Card and Video

Can you believe the holidays are so close....I think I'm ready.

Today's video features the Cricut Gypsy for the Gypsy Spot challenge site and the Cricut Christmas Solution Cartridge. This is a real simple card and as usual I had a little trouble tying a bow.

Here's the video:

I'll be back tomorrow with a Wild Card Series video. Have a great day.

Hi-Just checkin' in!

I miss you all. I've been so super busy the past few weeks getting ready for Christmas, shopping, wrapping presents, parties, working, and decorating.

GASP! I had to buy Christmas cards this year. I just simply don't have enough time. Where did the time go? I'm gonna work really hard the next two nights after work to get the little stuff done and I hope this weekend I can spend some time crafting and making a few videos. My next video will be my 100th video :)

I thought it would be fun to share a few fun holiday memories with you and then you can share with us....

I remember the year my older brother changed all the clocks ahead 2 hours so we can get up early. He was in his 20's....

Or the year my sister and I got our Cabbage Patch Kids. Oh what fun. My mom tried to fool us by giving us handmade dolls on Christmas Eve. We got the real ones Christmas morning. I think my brother got an Atari that year.

The year my sister got the Barbie Dream House (I was a little ticked)....or did my brother get the Atari this year?

My favorite memory was the last year I was living home for Christmas. Mom had stopped giving stockings for Christmas a few years before that. We even tricked her one year to give us a box of junk. LOL turned out to cost her much more than the stocking. It takes a lot to fill a box :) We had just finished opening presents and my parents head to the kitchen to get coffee and breakfast started. She asked my sister and I to help and get something from the pantry. Needless to say we screamed like kids because there on the floor where stockings overflowing with goodies. Oh the memories.

So what is your favorite memory?

Hugs to all.
C.

OK let's here your favorite holiday memory....

Christmas Gift Packaging

Happy Monday,

This week's Gypsy Spot challenge is Christmas gift packaging.

I used Cricut cartridge "Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More" and the "Christmas" solutions cartridge to make the gift box. I created the window on the gift box using the the tree from the "Christmas" cartridge and added acetate that I ran through my Big Shot with the Cuttlebug embossing folder "Snow Dots". I also added a tag from the "Very Merry Tags" solution cartridge and dressed it up a little with some bling.

Supplies: Cricut Gypsy, Cricut Expression, Cricut cartridges-Tags, Bags, Boxes, and more, Christmas and Very Merry Tags; Pattern Paper-K&Co.; Ribbon-Paper Trey Ink, Acetate-Transparency sheets; Bling
Have a great Monday,

Bookmark

Happy Thursday,

It's been crazy this week. I guess things won't settle down now until after Christmas.

Are you done Christmas shopping yet? I'm almost there, I need a few more things and some stocking stuffers and I'll be done.

As some of you may know I work as Head of Circulation at our local library. Well Monday I got a call from one of the libraries is our system asking if I can make bookmarks for a Tea Party they are having this weekend. This is what I came up with.

For the flower on the top of the bookmark I used chipboard covered in pattern paper (K&Co of course) and ran it through my Big Shot using the Flower Layers #3 die. It's one of my favorite Sizzix dies. The ribbon is a grosgrain ribbon from Stampin' Up!, I'm mostly using Chocolate Chip ribbon, but I didn't have enough to make all 30 bookmarks so I'm using what is left of my So Saffron color. The tea pot in the center of the flowers is cut from the Cricut cartridge "A Child's Year". I cut the teapot at 1in. and embossed it using UTEE (I can't stop using UTEE).

Oh My Gosh....have any of you started your Christmas cards? I have no clue what I'm making this year. Thankfully I have no plans this weekend and can get them started......

Have a great day.
Hugs,
