Hello Card

Happy Friday,

The other day I picked up my son at my mom's house after work and what does my mom have. A card I made for her birthday when I first started scrapping. Well I had to take it so I can post...

First here is a card I made this morning...

Supplies: Cricut Lyrical Letters Cartridge, Cricut Expression, Scallop Nestabilities, Summer Sunshine Paper Trey Ink Cardstock, Summer Sunshine Satin Ribbon, We R Memory Keepers "Grandma's Kitchen" pattern paper.

Now here is the card from probably that mid to late 90's. I wish I wrote on the card the year I made it. It's amazing how things change and our tools for scrapping keep us changing how we do things.

Have a great Friday and a scrappy weekend!

  17. Keeping in mind that at the time you made that first card, things were so much different, it's still a lovely card. Just like your Mother, my own mom, and my mother-in-law too, have kept every single card I have ever sent them. When I see them, I am still amazed. I put so many bizzar embellishments on them (even Christmas Ornaments and florals pics) ... how silly was that? And worst of all, I used oodles of glue to adhere them down ... little did I know how warped those cards would end up looking.

Now look at the cards you make today ... all I can say is ... YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY BABY! =)

Great job ... then and now!

    Hugz,
    ♥Carol♥

  20. Great contrast between the two cards. They are both cute, but aren't you glad we have these new paper crafting tools that help us so much?

  21. You've come a long way baby! I have some old stuff too and it is painful. My first scrapbook was a trip to Disney and it is hideous. It is totally covered with stickers, I couldn't get enough!
Oh, we do improve with age!
    Thanks for showing us.
