Shimmers Paint

Happy Tuesday....

A long time ago I bought stuff to make my own shimmers paint, but never did it. Well last night I thought, hey lets make some....

The only thing you need is some Metallic Folk Art Acrylic Pearl White paint and reinkers. How easy....and fun...I did try to use my alcohol inkers, but the color kinda globbed in the paint. You don't really notice it until you paint....

So here's a short short short video on how to make your own shimmers paint...Enjoy

Blog update...If you notice up the top I had two new links added. One for Video Series and the other Categories. Videos Series is where you can find all the series I've done so far and categories is coming soon. I also updated the FAQ page with frequently asked questions :) Hope you all have a great day.

Embossing with your Cricut....

Yep you read that right! Coming soon to Cri-kits an embossing tool. Yahoo......I for one can't wait to try this out. Just think of all the designs you can make. Working with metal and vellum will be so much fun.

It's a double ended embosser. One side is a chiseled look and othe other a more soft look.

Here's the best part...if  you already purchased the Gel Pens the embosser works with the magnetic holder. It's the same size at the Gel Pens. Yep. Awesome....

Pre-orders are coming soon, so be sure to check them out....

Check out Cri-kits for more info and stay tuned to for the pre-orders.
Hugs,

Canvas Picture Frame

I can't believe it's Monday already :( boy how the weekend flies when your having crafty fun!

I worked on this yesterday. I was inspired by this when I saw Jade from JadedStudios (YouTube) make one using Graphic 45 paper. I'm not a vintage kinda girl, but I love how hers came out! Here is my version.

Did lots of shopping this weekend. I was a very bad girl. Let's see stopped at the LSS and picked up some of the new Basic Grey Kioshi line and also Pink Paisley's Queen Bee line and a few other things. Then we went to Michael's and had a field day in the dollar section:) I love the dollar section:0). Then yesterday I ran to Michael's again just to pick up two more canvases and came home with two new Cricut Cartridge, Just Because and Robotz. Oh how I want to go back and get Nursery Rhymes.

Last night I added some of my latest cards and projects to my Etsy store. Including some of the flowers I made for this frame.

To place and order email me at creationswithchristina@yahoo.com  (instead of Etsy) I need to charge more for the flowers on Etsy because of the fees, but it you email me directly the price will be lower. They come as a set of 4 for 6.00 plus s&h. Colors I have available are....off white, pink, purple, orange, green, and blue. Most of these colors can be made in a lighter and darker shade.

Have a great Monday!

Mini Album

Finished another mini. I really have a great time making these. This one is made using the K&Co Handmade collection from Michael's. There is so much to this collection that you can make a more than one album,  just with a 12x12 pad and a few of the embellishments from the collection. Love It!

In the video I mention that I got my fibers from Creative Fiber Arts. Click HERE.

Hope you are having a great weekend.

Peachy Card

Doesn't it seem like forever since I made a card video?

I've had the Preserves Cricut Cartridge sitting here on my desk forever....Out of the March release I only purchased this one and Serenade.

I had a few requests for the "Just Because Cards" cartridge. Sorry I haven't purchased that cartridge yet. There are so many coming out that I can't keep up with it. :(

Digital Scrapbooking

Happy Monday,
I hope you all had a fantastic Easter!

Today we are doing a little digital scrapbooking. Basic Grey contacted me and asked if I would do a review of their Digital Scrapbooking kits. Of course I said yes! It's Basic Grey for cryin' out loud!

anyway....

It was really hard to pick what kit I was going to work with.....I loved them all but I had to narrow it down to one, so I decided to go with the Phoebe Starter kit and a few add ons. All the stuff that comes with these kits is amazing! Papers, rub-ons, ribbons, buttons, overlays and more. So much to choose from and the possibilities are endless.

What I loved most about this collection was how I can take it from a layout of my 16 year old gorgeous niece to my 8 year old son on the trampoline.

Here is my niece. How fast she is growing up......

And my son doing his favorite spring/summer activity......

I really had a lot of fun working with this kit and I'm certainly gonna work with it some more.

Hugs,
