Birthday Card

Hi All,
A friend at work asked if I would make him a birthday card for his niece. Sometimes I find it really hard to create something girlie. I think it's because I'm the only girl in the house and when I shop for paper I don't buy pink, It's always green and blue. Well...Blue is my favorite color :0)

Anyway here is today's card. I really like how it came out.

supplies: Cricut expression, A Child's Year Cartridge, Corner Chomper, Vintage Cream PTI cardstock, Bazzill brown cardstock, Small Wonders Girl K&Co Designer mat pad, Stampin' Up! On your birthday stamp set, Small Oval punch, Scallop Oval (SU) punch, Spring Moss Satin Ribbon, Vintage Cream PTI Hybrid Ink, Chocolate chip (SU) Ink, Recollection Pearls.

Have a great Wednesday!

I am right there with you on the girl thing. I have 3 boys and never buy girlie paper. I was asked to make Thank Yous for a 1 year old girl for her Birthday. It took me a while! This is very cute

Hi Christina...I'm with you girl friend...I have 3 boys and a hubby who acts like one of my boys most days!LOL So I am the Queen of my castle so to speak!:) My favorite color is Blue too! I prefer earth tone colors as well... I'm not much on the girly stuff... but I can make a girly card if I have too..I just prefer the blues/browns/greens for my colors.... By the way "GREAT CARD"! It looks very girly and the paper is sooo pretty! TFS

A beautiful card thanks so much for sharing. I will be at the convention and will definately stop at the Cri-Kits booth. Am waiting patiently (ok maybe not so patiently..lol) for my pens to arrive and am very excited about the embosser.

Well, it sure doesn't look like you are someone who never makes girly cards!!! What a beautiful and classy card.
I have sons and grandsons too. The only girls I make things for are their girlfriends, so I'm always on the lookout for girly ideas. I think I'll sketch this one into my journal to use as an idea. Thanks for the inspiration.
