Stop & smell the flowers

I was going through my room looking for something different to work on and found my box of acetate sheets. I haven't played with them in a while :)

Sometimes you need to take a break from doing the same thing over and over.....

This is totally different...
The card base is made with the acetate and measures 9x3-1/2. I found envelopes for it at Michael's in the dollar section.

I know it's hard to see the sentiment that I stamped, but in person you can see it much better. The pattern paper is My Minds Eye "Bella Bella" Collection.

This is a close-up of the sentiment. The stamp is from Paper Trey Ink's Vintage Picnic collection. I used one of PTI's newer color inks "Hawaiian Breeze". The flowers are Prima's "Summer Mix" that I got at Michael's several weeks ago and the lace is Prima as well. I purchase my lace from Ellen Hutson

and here is another picture of the card.

Hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend.....

I'm thinking maybe this weekend would be a great weekend for a few Mini Album tutorials....I have a new Sizzix Die that I would love to show you....

The lace trip is fabulous and certainly gives the card a shabby chic feel.

I have a drawer full of acetate from cut up Cricut cart boxes and never think to use it. Thank you for the reminder to use odds and ends once in a while. Have a nice weekend.
