Cuttlebug and more...

Hi Everyone,
Lots of you ask about using other company dies in your Cuttlebug machines...I made a quick video to show you how to use...Provo Crafts Cuttlebug Dies and embossing folders, Sizzix Sizzlets, Sizzix Bigz & Original dies, and Spellbinders Nestabilities.

Enjoy

Christina,
Thank you SO much for this video. You have answered so many of my questions.
I have the cuddlebug, and was considering getting the big shot because I wasn't sure if they were compatible.
One question tho, I have seen videos of people cutting fabric with the big shot, and I tried it in my cuddlebug and it didn't work. Would I need the Bigshot for this?

Thanks so much! I know most people probably have done this but I'm a newbie and really appreciate the basics!!!
Now I'm interested in Stacy's comment about cutting fabric!!! :)

Thank you for posting this. It answered a couple of questions that I had.

I do have another question though. I have a few Sizzix Simple Impressions Embossing folders. Can you give me some help on how to use them with my Cuttlebug?

Thank you.

This really helped a lot. I do have another question. When I use my embossing folder I sometimes get a crease through it. This happens usually when I need to emboss a large area and have to run it through twice to fit. How do you avoid the crease? Any help would so be appreciated!! Thanks

I am a cricut junkie and never saw the need to purchase dies, you have just given me a reason. Another great video would be how to use fiskars texture plates in your cuttlebug, it works great and what I really love about it is the texture plates are much larger than the cuttlebug folders. Thanks once again for a great video. Traci

Your videos are soooooo helpful. I have been using my toys and supplies much more since I found you!
I was given many brass dry embossing stencils. Can they be used in the Cuttlebug?
Does it matter in which order the sandwich is built? A plate being the exception. I was told C for cut, B for emBoss and to never cut on the C plate and that helps me with using Spellbinders.
I'm off to B&N which is next door to M's where I wasn't planning to shop. Hmmmmm - those Fiskar's texture plates sound good, too. Thanks fellow enabelers!

Thank you so much for posting this. I love your information videos almost as much as showing Cricut cards, books etc. Seems like there are so many of them doing that, but you offer so much more. Sure do appreciate all your help. (:

Thank you Christina. I've wanted to use Sixxix dies but they are so fat I was afraid I'd break my Cuttlebug. Now all I need to buy is the rubber mat and I can create away!

Aw, man I am so bummed. My sizzix broke and I got rid of all my original dies and sizzlets because I thought I couldn't use them!! Oh well, I have a cricut and tons of carts so I'm probably ok!

Thanks Christina, I haven't used my Bigz dies. I only have 2, but I've never used them! I've just been lazy. So now I know the sandwhich. Thanks again

Hi Christina,

Could you do a video on partial embossing with the Cuttlebug? I am trying to use an embossing folder with a cardboard donut on top and I just can't seem to get the sandwich right. The demo I saw used the Big Shot and I have tried everything in my Cuttlebug; but am not getting satisfactory results. I keep getting creases in the unembossed paper around the "wreath" area and it does not look good. Thanks for this tutorial and I look forward to seeing more!

Thank you. I have all these tools and not knowing how to use them or being intimidated by them is a big hurdle. You have taught me to play again. Thanks so much.

What perfect timing! I just got the 3D flowers die and the Tim Holtz leaves die yesterday in the mail!!! Can't wait to go play now. All sandwich stacks are listed on the cricut.com message board under cuttlebug. Thanks again, Sheri :)
