Just for you

Hi Everyone,

I ordered the new ILife 11' program for my computer and it should be here today :) It's an upgrade to my video/photo editing software on my MAC. I can't wait to play...so you may just have a video tomorrow.....
Speaking of videos, I'm going to start making more tutorial type videos along with my usual card videos. This is where I need your help...What do you want to see? What do you want to learn? Is there a particular technique series you would like to see? Is there a technique you would like to learn more about? Comment below, Contact me above, I want to hear your ideas....

Today's card was a just for fun card. I ordered some new Paper Trey Ink stuff and wanted to try out the Victorian Lace border die. I used the border die to make the rosette.
supplies: October Afternoon Thrift Shop Paper,  Paper Trey Ink: Kraft Cardstock, Fine Linen Cardstock, Terracotta Tile Stitched Ribbon, Victorian Lace Border Die, Black Button, Twine, Fillable Frames #9, Fillable Frames #9 Die.

Have a great day....and can't wait to hear your ideas...

  2. Ditto what Texas Cricut Gal said!!! I broke down and bought a Gypsy, and could use some help there. Want to know how you made the flower using the border punch. Could go on forever, but don't want to make you sorry you asked.--Ryansmaama

  3. Hi, hopefully I can explain what I am wanting to learn. It has to do with spellbinders nestibilities dies and a cuttlebug.
Sometimes I'll see someone put a die cut circle element on a card that has been stamped with an image. And the edges of the image are sticking out past the circle in certain areas. I don't think they have stamped a separate image and glued it over the first one. It seems like they found a way to stop the die cut from cutting the part they want to stick out. Is that possible? Thanks Kim

  5. With this special download deal coming up soon, I'm trying to talk my sweet hubby into getting me a gypsy. It would be great to have some very specific newbie tutorials on that. Also, I've mentioned to you before that I'd love some Beginner Mini Album tutorials. I've seen plenty of you tube videos on how to make different types of albums, but there is not much on how a newbie can learn to embellish it once the mini album is made and patterned paper is on it. I love your mini albums!
Thanks for all the great videos you do!

  14. Very pretty card! I don't know if I can be taught, but I love to look at all the shabby goodness. But I can't seem to get the hang of doing it myself. I've tried several times, but usually it just ends up looking like I just threw a bunch of stuff at a piece of paper! I've only don't one that'ts anywhere near shabby. What do you think? Can you teach someone how to do shabby?

  17. I LOVE it when you pick a cartridge and go page by page through the whole thing. I guess without actually seeing projects made, you don't realize what you have on the carts. I loved the card video series. I made so many of them because of you! You are an inspiration to me in so many crafty ways. I'm new to loving Tim Holtz because of you...I'm usually a "cutesy" kind of stamper/crafter and I've decided to try a more "collage" type funky look. I'm loving it. Thanks alot for costing me so much $ on all the distress inks...at least they were on sale last week :) Keep up the awesome blog, we all really appreciate it! Sheri

  18. Pretty card and colors. I love everything you do. I have the hardest time picking colors and patterned paper that go together. Is there any rules to it? I also know there are more things I can do with my cricut but just don't know how to do any except for the obvious.
    Thank you

  20. Hello Christina, I will tell you that you are a GREAT teaching person. You speak clear and all of your project are well understood. I would like to know/learn more on making flowers. My biggest problem is picking paper. I don't know how you can teach me that. I am horrible. Also, on your last two projects I would like to know the paper that you used for your cards. Where did you buyit? and what color is it? Thanks

  21. Oh wow love that card and how you made the rosette from the border die. I want to see that. Also I would like to know what Kim said, "Sometimes I'll see someone put a die cut circle element on a card that has been stamped with an image. 23. I love all your videos and am a big fan. I could use some help with design studio. I bought it so I could hide faces on my critters, to use my awesome pk stamps. I have trouble getting the layers to match up properly, especially the horse, cow, anything with 4 legs. Thanks.

  24. I love mini albums and would like to see more ideas with them. I loved the matchbook in the mini, such a good idea. 25. Yeah! I am excited that you are going to be making more videos. That is my favorite way to learn. I would love to learn more things to do with my Cricut. I love to see all different types of cards, mini albums and different techniques. I also would like to see more things done with the other supplies I have aquired but for some reason forget to pull outm, such as the cuttlebug,Design Studio,UTTE, Tim Holtz fragments, stamps and so forth. I can't wait to see what you come up with for us to watch.

  27. I would like to see more tutorials using the Cricut on layouts. The same for cards. I do cards for my church & have a hard time coming up with anniversary & male birthday cards

  28. I'd also love you to do another series on Cricut carts. I have so many carts and I would love to utilise them better - your Wild Card series was a great healp as I had no idea about all the layers etc also the liners for the envelopes. I'd also love to know how to create custom sized envelopes on the gypsy instead of just putting in the measurements of the card as most of the time it will say that it won't fit - I'm talking about 8 x 3 1/2 inch cards. Anyway, sorry about the long post and I'm happy to watch any video that will help me with my craft!! Thanks heaps!

  29. Hey Christina!!! I would love to maybe see a series on new products or maybe products that we dont think of using that often like the stamps and dies you get from PTI, tools, etc. I am always wanting to try new things. :o) Thanks for all you do! XOXO Momo

  30. I really like all of your videos no matter what you're making. If I had my choice, I'd love to see new products being used, more details on making your own embellishments, ideas for difficult cards i.e. men, boys, sympathy. I'm trying to get into the Adarondak inks so make Christmas tags. Maybe you can help there. Thanks.

  31. You have taought me so much already. The area I live in is very scrap poor. We have a HL and are getting a Joann's in the spring. There are no scrappng groups or classes here anywhere right now so I am open to everything. I want to learn as much as I can. I would like to more about stamping and inking. I have DS and am still trying to learn it. I have problems selecting colors and papers to go with my pictures. Thanks for all that you share with us.

  32. Hi, I wrote you this awhile back in an e-mail so know how they can get mislaid etc., so just copied what I wrote you previously as follows:
I am a subscriber & love your videos. Have written to you previously about different things. I am just getting into stamping & I have a couple questions. Number one is WHERE do you find $1.00 clear stamps???? I have never been that lucky to find them!!! Number two is how do you suggest preparing a new stamp? I was just on You Tube looking at the link you provided as far as storage & then, as I do every time I am on there, end up looking at 10 different videos. lol There are mixed instructions on what to do with the erasers and types of erasers used on new stamps, so would appreciate your telling me what you do with them, I also just won quite a collection of Tim Holtz stamps, distress inks, alcohol inks, paints and stickles!! Love them...just have to learn how to use them now. lol Actually, I only mentioned this as I used your link earlier in the week to get classes done with these products. It couldn't have come at a better time. Also, want to say how thankful I am that you are not off making stamps, DVD's etc. where the site is getting so commercialized that the instructions are falling by the wayside. You show what you do, at times offer kits, but your aim is to help people learning how to use their Cricuts and do mini albums etc. Please, keep up the good work. Think I would really be disappointed if you made it all commercialized. Thanks so much for all that you share!
