Wow they both look so good, now I know why he wants us to decide. I like the red cap, makes it pop a little more. Then you will have another color to incorporate in your decorations.
I love that Ethan asked for help with this decision! I would definitely go with the red cap. This is such a great cartridge and I'm so glad you're showcasing it and giving me more ideas and inspiration to use it. Thanks!
DEFINITELY the cap! You can even change the color of it...cut it from patterned paper like cool Halloween paper and stuff...emboss polka dots on it and stuff to make it cooler...but definitely the cap! I wish I could come to the party...it is looking like it will be loads of fun! LOL
Adorable goody bag! I say keep the cap Ethan. It definitely looks more like a pirate.
Christina, I did a pirate's birthday party for my son when he was younger and I made a treasure chest cake. It was SO easy and it would coordinate with Ethan's invitations. If you're interested Christina, I could dig up some pictures and send to you!
Thanks for sharing your project and videos. Jude jpretli at gmail dot com judestersworld.blogspot.com
Thanks Christina for making me want to buy yet another cartridge. I too like the one with the cap on it. Whenever my boys play pirate the first thing they do is put on a cap like that.
I like the cap. It completes the look. Thanks for sharing this series. I look forward to seeing what else you create with this cartridge. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of this cartridge.
Gotta say YES TO THE CAP. It's a little bit more work but worth it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Ethan!!! Christina- Thanks again for the inspiration. My mind is twirling for goody bags for my daughters roller skating party in May.
I'd make some with the cap and some without. The children could pick which one they got or you could just give them whatever. I think it would be great to have them both ways. Either way is cute.
My vote is with the cap, but I like the comment of the person above me that said make some with and without. Very cool treat box! HeatherM slofarmgirl@blogspot.com
I vote for the kerchief because of the added color. It also speaks "pirate". Thanks for sharing. I love these projects that you're making from this cartridge. Thanks for sharing. Veronica
I have a problem. I like both of them for different reasons. I like it without the cap because of the crack in the skull and I really like the red to give it more life with the cap. I guess I would say with the red cap. Hope this is his best birthday ever.
I love the pop of the color red on the cap. And the black shadow of the cap tails needs to be cut off if you go with no cap. Penny redheadworking at earthlink dot net
It's a toss up which one is better but I think the red bandanna wins because it catches your eye a little better. Great project. Sounds like a fun party.
I just got this cart., it's wonderful. It's like everything you need to have a party is on it. Even the after w/ the scrapbook pages. Loving your projects. THANKS for sharing!
I vote for 1/2 with a cap and 1/2 without. The crack in the skull if cool but the cap is pretty neat too. I suggest you distress the red cap with some of the distress black soot as well.
I noticed you used black embossing powder w/clear pigment, do u like it better than using black pigment with clear powder? I can never get all the excess black powder to tap off :-/
Cap that skull, Ethan! The red gives it that extra color. Thanks for asking for our opinions! And thank you Christina, for showcasing this cartridge! I have Life's A Party so you are encouraging me to get some use out of it! :)
I love this series!!! Ethan: I think both are really cute. The crack in the skull is cute... The red scarf is cute too.... How about 1/2 and 1/2 (your mom probably isn't going to like that answer)?
Well, if I had to choose 1 (and they're both great), I'd pick the crack in the skull.
Have a great birthday! You're super lucky to have such a great mom!
Tell him to do it with the cap!!! Love the cap! that pop of color is great and it looks more fit for a pirate themed party. Without the cap he looks more Halloweenish. Love the video!!!
I gotta say the hat, although it has a name for it but for the life of me I can't remember what it is. Your projects for Ethan's party is going to be a huge hit. Love the crossbone skull and the treasure chest was just to awesome. I would love to get this cartridge, must be time for saving again. angel hugs Debby
Like it both ways - give them a choice! We did a baby shower once in pirate theme - added bows for the girls! Put some gold coins in with their treasures!!! Have fun, Ethan!! jdwlo
You did a wonderful job on this Christina. Ethan is going to have a great themed party I can tell. I love, love the one with the Red Scarf it give the treat bag more pirate character. TFS. Smooches... scrapperinthemaking.blogspot.com
This is definitely a cartridge I am going to have to get. My little boy loves pirates and this would be perfect. I really like the cap. I think it finishes the theme out perfectly!
Great party decorations you're making. I am for the cap staying on. Without the cap, it looks more like a Halloween skull instead of a pirate. Have a wonderful party Ethan!
I say both I like the variation but if you only wanted one I will go opposite of the majority and say the no cap has more character because of that cool crack. :)~
I like the cap!
ReplyDeleteI too like the red cap. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteHow about cap for all the boys and if there are any girls a bow! Prefer a dressed skull anytime.
ReplyDeleteWow they both look so good, now I know why he wants us to decide. I like the red cap, makes it pop a little more. Then you will have another color to incorporate in your decorations.
ReplyDeleteI love that Ethan asked for help with this decision! I would definitely go with the red cap. This is such a great cartridge and I'm so glad you're showcasing it and giving me more ideas and inspiration to use it. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI love them both!! Hmmm...I would say if you can only pick one...go with the cap!

ReplyDeleteMy vote is for the cap. Adds more dimension...cute
ReplyDeleteHave to say the cap!
ReplyDeleteI'd go with the cap as well. but I do love the idea of a red bow for girls (if there are any at the party).
ReplyDeleteI think I like the cap...but you know the boy girl idea is a good one.
ReplyDeleteThe cap says pirate - no cap says motorcycle!
ReplyDeleteI like the cap!!! Very cute box!!
ReplyDeleteHi! Love the videos. I like the cap skull the best. Hope Ethan has a great time at his party. TFSpsy
ReplyDeleteHi again! Oops! Typing to fast and psy should not have came up at the end. Thanks again for all your hard work.
ReplyDeleteI like them both. Make half with and half without.
ReplyDeleteI am sure whichever one you choose will look great.
I like both of them but for a pirate theme maybe the cap would be better. Or do half and half.
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this cartridge.
Rita

ReplyDeleteI can see Ethan's dilemma. The color on the cap is great, but I really love the crack in the skull. So I vote for NO cap.
