Disney Pixar Blog Hop

Happy Saturday everyone,
I'm so excited to be apart of this weekends Disney Pixar Blog hop. So if you are just stopping by from Lori's blog, then welcome...but if you just stopped by to check out the latest head over to Shawn's blog to start the hop.

Here is my project for the hop. I needed to start working on an album from our Disney vacation we took two summers ago and I thought this would be a good way to get me started. I don't have the pictures developed yet (well I do, just didn't have time to go pick them up). I used the Mickey & Friends and Mickey Fonts Cricut Cartridges for my layout...

I wanted to keep it really simple as this will be the first page in my album and I have a great black & white picture of the three of us that I thought would be a perfect beginning.

So now for a little giveaway...Leave a comment below to enter to win a $25 gift certificate to Custom Crops...Remember only one comment per person and I'll announce the winner on Monday.

Now click HERE to head on over to Cindy's blog to see what awesome project she worked on...Good luck on finding the hidden Mickey's...

Have a great weekend...

Country Life Cricut Cartridge: The Complete Series

Video #2: Making A Shaped Card (Without Gypsy or Design Studio)
Video #4: Making A Banner with the banner feature

You can find this complete series listed under Video Series "Country Life Series" above

Country Life Episode #4

Happy Friday everyone,
Well, I'm headed to the circus today with Ethan's class. It's gonna be a good time.

Today is the final episode in the Country Life series. At first I didn't know what I wanted to do with the banner and then I had a hard time picking out paper...but I do like the final result...

I usually film all my videos on the weekends, but this one was last night. You can tell it was dark out, especially when you see the part with the Cricut. I'm used to not worrying about lighting that I forgot to move lighting over...Sorry it's still good, but you can tell...

I'll be posting all the videos for the series in a separate post so I can have them linked to one spot and then you'll be able to find them under the Series tab above.

Tomorrow stop by for a super fun Disney Blog hop, click here for more information on the hop....

I will be playing with my CE2 this weekend :) Have a great weekend :)

Country Life Cartridge Series #3

Hi All,
Today is number three in the series. I always do a video with the Gypsy...so here's your card for today...

This one was so much fun to make. I'm thinking this will be going to Ethan's teacher for the end of the school year (can't believe that's coming up soon).

So, do you think it will come today? The Cricut 2? I don't know, it shipped last night and said delivery is by 3pm today. I'm not convinced it's coming today since at 5:30 this morning it had just departed Kentucky and it needs to come all the way here to Pa. It still says its coming today, but I don't think so...

My plan was to film video #4 tonight. I want to use the banner cut, but I'm not sure what I want to do with it yet. If Cricut 2 comes though I might be distracted. So I may or may not have a video for tomorrow...

Have a great Wednesday.

Country Life Cartridge Series #2

Happy Tuesday,
I have to warn you before you even start reading...I was up until after 1:30 this morning and I had to get up for work this morning at 5:30. I get up early to get myself in gear, my post ready for the day and before you know it, its time to get Ethan up and get him going for the day...I just hope what I write below makes sense :) I will be a walking zombie today...OK now on to the next video in the series....

Today I thought I would show you how to make a shaped card. We're not using our Gypsy's or Design Studio to make this card....

Lots of you asked about the sticky tool I used yesterday to pick up the small pieces. That is my scrapping best friend when it comes to those small Cricut pieces. It's called a QuicStik by QuicKutz. Besides ordering right from QuicKutz, I know you can buy it at Hobby Lobby and you can also find it on Amazon. If you google search it you'll find a few other online stores that carry it as well.

Oh and did I mention...I ordered my Cricut Expression 2 last night. It's a great deal with easy pay and free shipping. I can't wait...Some of you asked if I was keeping my regular Expression and yes I am...I want to keep it for doing the series videos...I will however be adding a video segment to the series using the Cricut 2...Maybe that will be video #5 this week since it should be here tomorrow (oh yes I paid the extra shipping...lol)

Well have a great day...I will be the girl at the library with the toothpicks holding her eyes open today :)
Have a great Tuesday and enjoy the day

So here we go...

See you back here tomorrow for Episode # 2
Hopefully I'll be able to get up on time for work tomorrow, since I'll be staying up till' midnight to order my Cricut Expression 2. I am so excited about the CE2. I knew right off the bat that I had to have it..Can't wait. I even already cleared a spot next to my Expression for my new machine...

Name Plate VideoTutorial

Happy Thursday Everyone,
This week is just flying by, I can't believe it's Thursday already. Next thing we know we'll all be up till' midnight ordering out Cricut 2's on HSN. lol

I wanted to share a gift I made for my Scrapping BFF Teri and her daughter Kasi...Teri is in the process of re-doing her craftroom and I wanted to make her and Kasi a little something for their desks. So I made them nameplates.

Enjoy a video tutorial on how to make the frame for the nameplates...

I had filmed a great video last week with all these wonderful details on the nameplates and a tutorial on how to put them together...Two nights ago I was cleaning up files on my computer and deleted the video completely. Didn't even leave it on the camera...So last night I filmed another tutorial. If you want to really see the details of the nameplate check out Teri's video HERE. Her and Kasi are just the sweetest...

I've been looking over the Country Life Cartridge and I have to say...I can't wait to get started....

Polymer Clay Tutorial

Hi Everyone,

Let's talk Polymer Clay...

I really enjoy playing with these resign flowers...Super fun.

I ordered my molds from MoldMuse on Etsy. Great store, fabulous shipping...I would link to the molds I purchased, but since they sell out and restock often it would be better to just send you over to the main store page.

I had watched a video on polymer clay, which is why I went out and bought the oven. You don't need it, someone said that the clay gives off a lot of fumes and the only fumes I had are from the new oven. That was stinky..

You really only need some molds, clay, and the glaze. That's it...

I can see myself really getting into this...I did a little searching on YouTube for some videos on making your own beads for jewelry making and I came across this one. It's what made me  pull out my LSG Mica's...

It's looking like Simply Charmed and Country Life are close in the vote for the next series. I'll add them up and post the results over on Facebook :)

Polymer Clay

Hi Everyone
Well the results are in from the dentist. Out comes my wisdom tooth tomorrow morning. I'm not looking forward to it, but it's better than constant pain....

Saturday I was getting caught up on my YouTube fav's and Lawn Fawn (check out her stamps too, so cute) showed these molds she purchased to make her own embellies (like the ones Prima has out now) and I thought hmmm that looks fun...So I ordered from MoldMuse on Etsy and they came already. That was the fastest shipping I've ever seen :)

Ethan and I had fun playing with clay last night...
Here are a few pictures...

Here are mine after they are baked (Click to enlarge picture)

You can add Glossy Glaze to make them shiny

Painting on the glaze (Click to enlarge picture)
Ethan's 2 snakes and a worm (Click to enlarge picture)

We had a lot of fun making these and I can't wait to make more. I'll work on a video soon.

I usually film my two videos for the upcoming week over the weekend, but with my tooth I wasn't really feeling up to making two.  I may only have one for you this week. We'll see how I feel later in the week.
Have a great day

Party Dress (Elegant Edges & Kate's ABCs)

Woohooo It's Friday,

I cannot wait for the weekend to officially begin. We might even have nice weather too. 70's on Sunday...
Last week I posted how much I love Elegant edges and Kate's ABCs and I couldn't wait to play with them. I don't know about you but when I get a new cartridge there is always one or two images that pop out at me and I just have to use them first. The dress and the shoes are what popped out first for me. I keep picturing this card done in Graphic 45 paper and some pretty lace...I may have to try that this weekend...

Here is our card/video for today...
Isn't that the cutest dress...

I'll be announcing the winners of the Cricut for Beginnners DVD this weekend...Click HERE to enter the giveaway :)

Hi There (Paper Trey Ink)

Happy Wednesday...
Is everyone thinking about the weekend? I know I am :)

I was in a stamping mood this weekend and made this card to have in my stash.

Today's card is with Paper Trey Ink's Flower Fusion #1 die and Flower Fusion #1 & #2 stamp sets. I also used Paper Trey Ink's Vintage Cream card stock, Simple Chartreuse and Lemon Tart Ink, as well as Stampin's Up! Chocolate Chip ink. I did some crazy sewing around the edges and added a little more detail to the flower with some Black Enamel Accents that I found at Michael's.

Have a great day
Hugs and happy crafting :)

Scrapbook Challenge #4-April

Hi Everyone,
Ready for this months Scrapbook Challenge?
Here's mine...This is from last spring when we set up the trampoline for Ethan.

I really enjoyed making this page....
If you are looking for some great tutorials on how to make your own photo collage, Kristina Werner did one not to long ago (HERE).

For those of you that are new to my site...Somewhere around the beginning of each month I post a challenge for a scrapbook page. It can be a 12x12, 8x8, 8-1/2 x11, single page, double page or even a mini album. There isn't a sketch to follow, colors you have to use or anything like that. It's just a way for us to work on a little scrapbooking and share what we love to do. Each challenge I will have a link so you can  share your finished scrapbook project. Just upload it to your blog, Facebook page, or favorite message board and link it below...
That's it...Just some scrapbooking fun...

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
