Here is a layout that has been in the works for two weeks. I finally got to sit and really work on it this past weekend. I can't believe Ethan starts 4th grade in just a few weeks. This summer is just flying by.
I totally lifted this from a "From Start To Finish" video by Nichol Magourik. Sometimes I just really struggle with layouts and Nichol's videos help so much. I hope they never stop, I look forward to them every Wednesday❤. Yes! Today is Wednesday....
Here are a few pictures...I know I stink at taking pictures of layouts. I'll get better with practice (I think)
The "3rd Grade" cut is from a Kerri Bradford Kit. She has some great kits for school and lots of other wonderful kits as well. I used my Silhouette to cut it out in a gray cardstock for the base layer and a red American Crafts pattern paper for the 3.
Even though it's hard to see in the picture.
I cut out "elementary" also with my Silhouette. I got this cut from Silhouette America's library store...
Well I'm off to work. I hope everyone has a great day☀...Enjoy

I LOVE IT!!!!! Everything in this layout is PERFECT!!! OMG don't you just love that set from Kerri...her designs are awesome. Hey sis, is E ready for school? xoxo, T

Great Layout! I agree. I love Nichol's style and I can't wait for Wednesday each week!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I love the 3rd grade cut out. I started scrapping in 98...so my daughter's school album (done of course, she is now in college going for her Masters) has stickers and not as many emblishments as we use these days. I think I may go back and add things to it to bring it out. Just not sure - I may leave it w/the times - that was the style then. And continue w/the now? But love all your work, thanks.
ReplyDeleteLove the layout and what a handsome young man you have there. Love your blog and the teaching tutorials. Keep up the good work. So many of us are benefiting from your gift.
ReplyDeleteAwesome layout Christina! I am also OBSESSED with Nichol's From Start to Finish Series (or well...everything Nichol does...hahaha). I have found my thought process for layouts change SO MUCH since starting to watch her videos. Love what you have created here!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great layout. Love the paper selection and especially the alphabet across the page. It reminds me of grade school so it was a perfect addition to the page. Your little guy is growing so fast. What a cutie too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great layout, love the papers and colours used.
