What a great weekend I had scrapping. It was so nice staying home with my family and spending some time working on my families memories. I have another layout in the works and hope to finish it tonight.
Maybe you remember these pictures from a layout I did back in February (check it out here). I finally purchased a scrapbook for 2010 and when I was putting the layouts in the album I had two that just wasn't sitting well with me. Ethan's 8th birthday was one...
It started out as a one page layout and turned into two...I think this has to be one of my most favorites I've done for 2010. Of course it has some Nichole Magourik in it...
Here is page one...
I used a Storyboard kit from Kerri Bradford to make my photo collage.
Celebrating you...is from the Silhouette store.
(Here's a close up on the detail cut)
Most of the pattern paper is from Echo Park's Little Boy collection, but I also tossed in some Dots & Stripes and Playground (Echo Park).
I printed my journaling on one of the journaling tags from the Little Boy collection.
Watching Nicole Magourick has really gotten me into stamping on my layouts. The celebrate border is an Ali Edwards (Technique Tuesday) stamp that I stamped out in a few different Jenni Bowlin colors.
Here's page two:
I carried the border over from the first page of the layout and added a little scrap of the pattern paper to continue the flow of the layout.
I added a few circles from two different sized circle punches and I found these really cute star buttons in my stash. I thought they fit in really nicely.
I love this "Happy Birthday" cut, also from Silhouette.
Thanks everyone for stopping by. Have a great Tuesday...Is it Friday yet?

YAY the final layout looks fabulous sissy. Love the title, storyboard, buttons, twine, circles on the second page.....EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!!! HELLO....the journaling....isn't that FUN?? Thank God for our Hero Nichol - hee hee....I too have learned so much from her and she inspires me so much. FRIDAY???? It's right around the corner girlie hahahaha! Hugs, T

ReplyDeleteGreat Layout!
ReplyDeleteIt really does feel good when you can expand your talents from cardmaker to layout maker!
Luv It!!!
I love your sons layout. The words at the top are like, over the top. Great idea. I don't know what a Storyboard kit is but sure like your layout.
ReplyDeleteLove the layout!!! I really would like a sil. But do you know if they have just fonts? I've been looking around and so far all I have seen is word art.

Cute! layout...the Silhouette cuts look so clean and crisp. Maybe I should stop purchasing Cricut Cartridge and think more about the Silhouette. Is there something similar to the Gypsy or DS for the Silhouette where you can design your own cuts?

I love the grouping of the photos in this layout. I hope it's alright but I would like to use the same idea with school picture of my brother I'm using in a memorial book. The rounded corners just make the layout and I've never seen that used before.
ReplyDeleteLove these layouts. You used all my favorite products.
