CWC (9/5/11) More Room Stuff

Hi Everyone,
Friday night we made a trip to Ikea and picked up those few things I still wanted for my room. I'll link everything I picked up below...

I picked up two more Ribba shelves to complete my wall.
These really cool CD racks that my mom got last time we went and I didn't pick up. They are only $5.99 and each one holds about 80 CD cases. I put three of them next to each other and now have all my stamps that I store in CD cases in one location.

You can also use the CD racks for 6x6 paper pad storage. I put one next to my desk :)

I also picked up and forgot to take a picture of them with the drawers closed before Scott left with the camera for a hike, two of these units for my Expidit shelving.

Here's what they look like opened. I  put my tools in the drawers and they fit perfectly.

and finally this is the newest furniture edition to my room. It's Alex! Alex stands about 3-1/2 feet tall and fits perfectly in this corner. I put my wooden stamps in the bottom larger drawers and I plan on using the rest of all my embellishments. The drawers are so nice and deep that I don't have to worry about those long embellishments sheets, like journaling stickers, letters, and rub-on's getting all wrinkled up. It's perfect.

Alex does come in other sizes, but I picked the taller thinner one since I knew I didn't really have room to fit anything else.

Well I think that finally completes my room. The only thing I have left to pick up is some new curtains for my windows.

Have a great Monday and Happy Labor Day!

  1. Thank you so much for sharing your room. I am getting ready to move into our newly built house and will have half the basement for my things. I am having hubby build me wall to ceiling Ikea unit (Expedit) for the center to act as storage and a room divider but I was lost what to do with the walls so thanks for sharing!

  9. Christina, you really have maximized the use of shelving to utilize even the narrowist of spaces. Everything is so accessible. I had built in cabinets installed when we built our house, but wished I had waited until after we lived here awhile as I can see that I could have maximized my visible space much better. I appreciate that you share so many ideas. Thanks!

  18. Christina, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful scrap room - I love it!!! I also have Ikea in my scraproom - and, thanks to you, I now have the final piece of furniture that was missing. As soon as I saw Alex I knew I had to have it. My daughter and I went to Ikea today and bought it. Will build it tomorrow - but I'm so excited. Also got the cd racks (2) and will put them one on top of the other. Thanks for all your great vids. Tisha
