More Room Organizing (Desk)

Hi Everyone,
As you probably noticed for the past few Wednesdays I've been posting some room organizing I've been working on. This past weekend it was my desk. My friend Teri (thanks sis for the inspiration) had raised her desk using the Closet Maid  shelving (cube style system) and I loved the idea but non-handy hubby and I could probably not do it without help cause you need to add additional support to the cubes. We where going to give it a try but then I found that Closet Maid also has drawer systems....
Here is a video with a recap of some of my organizing and my desk...

Thanks for watching and don't forget to  stop by Teri's blog and YouTube channel to see some of her amazing work.

Have a great day :)

Christina

  5. Love your new desk. I actually just found plans for an island desk and gave my hubby to build for me. Did I miss where you told about the top though? Love it but wondered where it came from.

  7. I really like your desk top. The glass lifted and giving you room underneath is cool. I'm going to try and do something like that too. Did you have that made like that or was it an "accident"? Either way, I really like it. Have a nice day and thanks for sharing. Ciao db:)

  8. Isn't it wonderful to have an organized craft room? Your's looks wonderful and very efficient. Love your new desk and the fact that you can use both sides just really adds. I am like you, I like to craft right in front of the TV and although I have two craft areas,(both of which I do not have TV's in), makes me usually haul my projects into the family room so I can watch my programs as I craft. Shame on me, cause it is easily remidied by just adding a TV to the areas. Guess I will have to work on that.

  11. You are motivating me to reorganize my actual crafting surface. I use one area but I have so much stuff on it...maybe I need to do like you and clear one area away. Well, I think I'm off to try it! Love what you did with your desk! Great ideas as always, Christina!

  12. I really like how you raised the desk with those drawers. I have been looking for a way to raise my Ikea desk, and I think your way is the way to go. I love the green chair, I am going to try and find one like it around the local stores. I have 3 office chairs for 3 desks, and they take up a ton of space. I really need to scale down and do some serious organizing, because my craft room is tiny. Thanks for all your Ideas

  13. Is your shelving unit also from Ikea? I need something deeper than the Billy units. And hat you have looks deep!

  14. It's so fun to have a new space to create! I am wondering why the drawer units have all the "dead" space? I think you made the best of it, but it just seems strange! Seems like they could have added another drawer. I love all your videos and your work is just beautiful! Oh, are you and Teri really sisters, or "sisters-best friends"? Your tiny avatar photos don't look anything like each other! Either way, having a sister is a beautiful thing! Now I'm checking out Teri's blog too! Happy crafting!

  16. First I have to say that I too am totally hooked on Downton Abbey! Holy Moly, I can hardly wait till Sunday Nights to see what will happen next! I'm reorganizing my craft area as well and really love that idea. I have a built in desk but would like an island behind my desk that is taller because sometimes I like to stand to create. Thanks for Sharing!

  17. I have to say that I love what you have done with your paper organization and the lifting of your desk. I love that glass top!!! What strikes me most is that beautiful wall color you have. What is the name of that paint color and by what company if you don't mind sharing?
