Stampin' On Friday (8/7/12) Happiest of Birthdays

Hi Everyone,
What a day yesterday...I ended up having to make an unexpected trip to the dentist right after work as my left side of my face was just not right. The past few days when I get up I'm fine and then as the day goes on my cheek starts to feel hot and sore...I thought for sure it was a bad bad tooth, turns out it's stress related and I have to wear my "appliance" (I picture a toaster every time he asks if I'm wearing my appliance, but it's really a guard for grinding teeth) now during the day. My jaw muscle on the left side is so tense and knotted that it's actually causing my cheek to feel like its hot. I'm happy it's just stress. Did I just say I'm happy to be stressed?

Okay on today's card.
This ones for my mother in law...lots of birthday in August and September.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous weekend.
Hugs and happy crafting,

  1. Your card is lovely, I love the test paper you used for the scallops. I thought it was a ruffle at first!

Stress is how we know we're still living, lol. My doctor once told me I had to get "a handle" on the stress in my life. Made me laugh hysterically... so much stress is uncontrollable, all you can control is your reaction to it. Good luck, you have my sympathy!

  2. Great card! Love the use of the felt. I have some but always forget to use it! I've used it for some flowers but this is a wonderful way to use it. Need to remember that! :)
I love that you messed up on your sewing a bit....well, I don't love that you messed up but I love that you shared that with us. I have the same love/hate relationship with the sewing machine. I have one that you can control the speed on but for some reason I always rev it up and I'm not that good at going at hyper speeds! LOL!
    Have a great weekend!

  3. What a beautiful card! I love that you cut out felt and used that as the main focal point of the card and Loved how you cut out the border for the outside of your banners!

    Hugs,
