Scrap Room Organizing: Pattern Paper Storage

Hi everyone,
Hope you all had a great weekend and a wonderful 4th of July :)

Today's video is a project I worked on Saturday evening. I was sorting out some pattern paper that I wanted to purge from my collection and decided while I was at it I would try out organizing my 12x12 pattern paper by color instead of company. I can already tell I love this way of organizing better. I found so many things that I can't wait to use on some layouts.
Here is a video showing my process:

I was checking around on Oriental Trading's site and couldn't find the paper storage system I currently use. I do know you can buy the Cropper Hopper style at Joann's and Michael's.

Thanks for stopping, have a great day :)

  1. You are an organizational guru. I keep my pads together in cropper hoppers from M's, and I have single-sided CS in one, double-sided CS in another, paper (thinner CS that you can't use for a card base) in another, etc. Holidays are separate too. I love your idea. You have great patience.

  2. Thanks for sharing your system. I will be curious if you like sorting by color rather than manufacturer over time.

  6. Great video. My 12x12 papers are in desperate need of something done to them as they are hard to get to and I don't know what I have. How many of the 12x12 containers did you end up using to hold all your papers? I don't have a lot of storage space so am wondering how that would work for me.
    Thanks.

The papers you said you did not know "what to do with"? try making a misc file for papers that are hard to classify one color or another...I did this with my paper system and it worked out great!!! anyway...thank you for sharing...hugs to you...have a happy day:)
