Thanks for everything

Hello, hello, hello!
Today's card is a thank you card I made just to play with a few new Mama Elephant scrappy items I picked up.
{Supplies used for this project are listed below at the end of this blog post to multiple shopping sources)

I started by die cutting some Aqua Mist Paper Trey Ink cardstock using the stitched die set from Mama Elephant and then some white cardstock using the smaller rectangle die from the set.

I stamped "Thanks for everything" using jet black archival ink and then the border piece with SU's Pool Party ink. To add a little detail to the card I added Doodlebug Sprinkle Enamel Dots to finish off the card.

Birthday Card with Stitched dies

Hi everyone,
Happy Monday/Tuesday! I hope you had a great weekend. We finally had some nice weather so I did a little yard work yesterday and a little shopping to update my spring/summer wardrobe.

Today's card is a spotlight style card using...yep....stitched dies. Did I even mention I love stitched dies? Oh I do...oh so much :)
{Supplies used for this project are listed below at the end of this blog post to multiple shopping sources)
I die cut some Neenah solar white cardstock with the SSS stitched rectangle dies and then stamped out the balloons from Simon Says "Celebrate" stamp set using some of their inks.

To do the spotlight sections, I die cut a smaller stitched die around the balloon area and then popped it up on some black cardstock.

For the sentiment I used Lawn Fawn's Scripty Sayings stamp set along the bottom of the die cut area.

To make the balloons pop I added some Wink of Stella Clear Ink.

Watercoloring stamped image

Hi Everyone,
Happy Thursday :)
Today's card is a little watercoloring fun. I still need to practice playing with watercoloring but I had a lot of fun with this one.
{Supplies used for this project are listed below to multiple shopping sources)
I started off by taping the watercolor paper on my kitchen cutting board with some FrogTape and stamped out with Stazon black ink the little girl from "You have my heart" by My Favorite Things.
Taping the watercolor paper to the board kept it from warping too much when I added all the water for coloring.
I wanted to extend the grass so I used the straight line from Lawn Fawn's "Hello Sunshine" stamp set and stamped it on either side connecting it with the grass from the MFT stamp. I was pretty proud of myself for lining that up :)
I started by using Spun Sugar and Antique Linen Distress Markers to color in the skin tone. Probably not the best colors for skin tone, but it's what I had on hand.
Using a really thin paint brush and the Gansai Watercolor paints, I painted in the little girl's hair and her adorable little puppy.
I decided not to play around too much by watercoloring the little girl's outfit (I didn't want to test my luck after how well the hair and puppy came out) so I did some fussy cutting of the outfit using Lawn Fawn papers.

Once I was done with the main image I watercolored the grass and sky with the Gansai watercolors. I die cut the watercolor piece using some Mama Elephant dies and then layered that on Lawn Fawn papers that matched what I fussy cut.

Final touch was to add some clouds to the sky with white embossing powder and I thought adding the little heart from MFT's stamp set was a cute touch and coordinated with the sentiment. My water color piece was mounted on to a standard A2 sized card using Neenah cardstock.
