Christmas Ornaments with Cricut

Hi Everyone,
Long time no post. I hope everyone is doing well! I can't believe how fast the holidays are coming upon us. It's just around the corner.

I'm completely inspired by all the excitement over the Cricut Maker and the Explore this season I decided to play around with making some ornaments for my little tree I have here in my craft room.

I picked up some DIY glass ornaments at my local craft store this weekend and got started making a few little cuties for my tree.

I started with coating the inside of my ornaments with acrylic paint. I actually used Waverly Chalk paint that I have in my stash instead of buying new and it worked perfectly. The colors I selected where Mineral, Silver Lining, Ballet Slippers and Cashew. Just a note, the chalk paint is a little thick so it took some work to cover the inside of the ornaments.

I selected a few sentiments from the Cricut Cartridge, Season To Sparkle and cut the sentiments using black vinyl. I'm always amazed how well the Cricut cuts such small and detailed cuts.

I can't pick which one of these I like the best, but I love how they turned out.

  2. I agree the ornaments turn very nice. I would not have the patience to do all that work,of course I only have the original circuit, does not do anything fancy, but works fine for what I use to make cards

  3. Love the ornaments, Christina! I couldn't find the video on Youtube, though. I am a subscriber, but all of the posts came up as being several months old. I will try again later!
