Sublimation Mousepad

I'm in love...with sublimation!
It's taken almost two weeks to get it up and running (some minor IT related issues) but now that it's finally working, I'm really excited. I whipped up these two mouse pads in less than 30 minutes.

For my mouse pad, I used a free graphic from Pixaby.com. It is a great site with many many images. I added my name using a free font from Dafont.com called Beneath Your Beautiful.

Scott wanted a mouse pad for work that had a photo of Ethan and me from graduation. I also used the same font to add 2020 at the top. I kind of wish I left that out, or used a thicker style font.

I made myself a mouse pad a few months ago using Cricut Infusible Ink, and I love it, but I wanted to do other projects using graphics and photos. That's where sublimation came in.

I'll create a separate post about sublimation and how I setup it up. You do have to have a dedicated sublimation printer, a heat press (I'm using my Cricut Easy Press), sublimation blanks (check amazon...amazing finds), and sublimation paper (I've seen people using regular copy paper, but I find the sublimation paper works better). I can go into more details in another post (or maybe a video...I'll dust off the camcorder).

Have a great day.

Ethan's Graduation

Hi Everyone,
I can't believe he officially graduated last month. 2020 has been a wild year for everyone.
I won't bore you with my mushy mom stuff, or overwhelm you with too many photos. I posted a bunch of them on Facebook if you want to check them all out.

First, these are photos from graduation practice. Ethan had to dress up for Honor Society/Top 10% in the class photos. I don't get to see him dressed up much these day, shorts and t-shirts are the extent of it. He starts college in less than two weeks, so he'll get out of those shorts soon. I hope!

Here are a few graduation day photos. We had great weather, but it was really really hot!

I hated that we couldn't have family at the ceremony, but at the same time, I loved that he at least got to have some sort of traditional graduation ceremony. It makes me sad not to see my dad or Scott's mom in these photos, but I know both of them are looking down and are very proud of him.

So those are my photos of graduation. I hope you enjoyed them. Have a great crafty weekend and I'll see you back here soon.

Cricut Joy: Candy Jar

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy.
Where has the time gone? It seems like the summer is flying by. Two weeks ago our son graduated from High School and in two more weeks he'll be starting his first year of college. I'll share some of his graduation photos in another post, but first...
It's been a hot minute since I've worked with vinyl. Scott and I had been wandering around Hobby Lobby and were in the aisle with the glass jars. Scott mentioned he needed a jar to keep his candy in on his desk at work. Of course it had to be decorated.

Gotta love a good excuse to pull out the Cricut Joy and play.

I used the Cricut Joy for this project and love how it turned out.
The two fonts for this project are a scripts font from Dafont.com called Amarillo and Bebas Neue
You can view the project HERE.
